In 2016, we were asked by Evergreen if they could document our classes during an Outdoor Makerspace session. This video captures the routines we put in place before, during and after any loose parts session. Our goal in developing these routines were to:

  • provide a structure within this open-ended learning activity,

  • minimize transitions for the students,

  • engage students in the process of setting up and taking down the Outdoor Makerspace,

  • meet Board safety guidelines for the storage of loose parts.
